Yoga At the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Yoga in the Open Sea

Step into the wonder of the ocean and onto your mat for an unforgettable yoga experience set inside the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s most iconic exhibit — the Open Sea. Surrounded by hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, and shimmering schools of tuna, this all-levels class is a rare opportunity to move, breathe, and connect in a space dedicated to awe, conservation, and deep reverence for nature.

This 60-minute practice is inspired by the energy of water and the creative flow of the sacral (second) chakra. Designed to honor the fluidity of the body and the rhythm of the ocean, this offering invites you to slow down, soften, and remember your place within the greater web of life.

Let’s Move Under the Sea

  • Why is this a special place to practice

This is more than a yoga class — it’s a living meditation. Practicing inside this expansive, moving display of marine life offers a sense of connection that transcends words. Each breath becomes a tribute to the ocean, each movement a reminder of your own fluid strength and power.

Let this space inspire your own relationship with the natural world — a reminder to move with purpose, protect what’s sacred, and let your practice ripple far beyond the mat.

  • When are classes?

This is a special pop-up offering, thoughtfully scheduled in collaboration with the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I'm honored to host this class after hours, in the quiet magic of the Open Sea exhibit, with the presence and energy of each unique group.

Classes are held monthly and dates vary — sometimes on weeknights, sometimes on weekends.

  • How to get tickets

Tickets are released right here on my website and announced on Instagram and through my newsletter. Because this class tends to sell out quickly, I recommend staying connected by following along or signing up for the newsletter to be the first to know when new dates go live.

Aquarium Yoga with Jordan was pure magic. The slow, gentle flow felt deeply grounding, but what made it truly unforgettable was the way she wove each posture into the rhythm of the marine life around us. Moving through poses while watching enormous tuna, sharks and sea turtles swim around created a sense of connection that was beyond words. Easily one of the most unique and breathtaking yoga experiences in the world.
