I’m honored to offer this New Year gathering inside California’s First Theatre—a beautiful adobe building as part of the Monterey Historic State Park and the first theatre in California, where creativity, voice, and expression have lived for generations. There is something deeply grounding about practicing in a space that has held so much history, presence, and human connection while honoring the local roots of Monterey.
This 90-minute experience is an invitation to pause at the threshold of the New Year and arrive fully in your body. We’ll begin with a slow, grounding yoga practice designed to gently awaken the body, steady the nervous system, and help you release the weight of the year behind you. Movement and breath will be simple, intentional, and accessible—offering space to listen inward and reconnect with yourself.
From there, we’ll transition into stillness for an immersive sound journey. You’ll be surrounded by the resonant tones of alchemy crystal bowls, chimes, and grounding instruments, allowing vibration to move through the body and create space for clarity, balance, and intention as you step into the year ahead.
After our practice, we’ll gather in the historic saloon for a warm cup of tea—an opportunity to integrate, reflect, and quietly connect in community within this special space.
Proceeds from this event will benefit education programs and historic building
restoration efforts at the Monterey State Historic Park.
